Coach Boo is the co-founder of SAC (Schexnayder Athletic Consulting) and prior to his time at SAC, Boo coached collegiately at Louisiana-Lafayette, Blinn Junior College, and then 12 years at LSU. Regarded as one of the world’s premier field event coaches, he was the mastermind behind 19 NCAA Individual Champions during his collegiate coaching career. He was a part of 12 NCAA Championship teams and a pair of Juco National titles. On the world stage, Boo coached triple jumper Walter Davis to multiple World Championships, and long jumper John Moffitt to a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. He has coached 10 Olympians, and was the Jumps Coach for Team USA at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Coach Boo is certified at Level I, II and III, and owns the prestigious Master Coach Designation from USA Track and Field. He has formerly served as national chair of USATF’s Coaching Education Committee, Jumps Subcommittee chair, and chair of the Biomechanics subcommittee.
Schexnayder currently serves as the Director of the Track and Field Academy, the educational branch of the US Track and Field and Cross Country Association.
Mike Judge is the founder and throws coach at the Throw 1 Deep Club in Marietta, Georgia. Mike is an IAAF Level 4 Instructor and Level 5 Coach. He is also a USATF Level 3 Coach. Mike was the 2013 National High School Coach of the Year. He was the Atlanta Track Club High School Coach of the Year in 2012. In 2011, Mike was named USATFGA Club Coach of the Year. He has coached over 200 high school All-Americans and 25 National Champions. He has coached over 80 GA high school state champions in the shot put and discus. His best male shot putter threw over 70 feet and his best discus athlete threw over 204 feet. Mike is the former school record holder in the shot put and javelin at UGA, and has coached at the international level.
Coach Franks is the head cross country and assistant track and field coach at Mississippi State University. Coach Franks has been the head cross country coach at MSU since 2011, and the assiatant trakc coach for distance since 2004. Prior to his time at MSU he was a three time MVC coach of the year while coaching for Southwest Missouri State University. In 2016 Coach Franks was named USTFCCCA South Region Coach of the Year for Cross Country, and in 2015 he coached Rhianwedd Price to the NCAA Outdoor title in the 1500m, as she ran 4:09.56 for a new personal best. Coach Franks has coached multiple All-Americans a National Champion, and has been a fundamental part to the recent success of the MSU cross country and distance track and field programs.
Dr. Mike Young is the founder and director of the Athletic Lab, the premier sport science research & training facility in North Carolina. Dr. Mike Young has a BS in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University, an MSS in Coaching Science from Ohio University & a PhD in Biomechanics from LSU. Dr. Young is also a USATF Level 3 coach, as well as a USATF Level 1, 2, and 3 instructor.
Coach Young has coached athletes to National and / or World Championship appearances in 5 sports (bobsled, skeleton, track & field, triathlon, weightlifting) as well as directing the training
plans for professional athletes in the MLS, MLB, NFL NHL and PGA and has coached at 4 Division 1 NCAA programs. Highlights include 6 NCAA National Championship Track & Field teams at LSU, coach of 7 USATF National Champions, strength & speed coach to World Series Champion Andres Torres, strength & speed coach to Super Bowl Champion Marquise Hill.
